Awe

I was just watching West Wing, and they made a reference to K2, and I decided to look it up. K2 is something that has always been in my head under the file, "Big Mountains," but I had never really known any more than that. So I looked it up and found a picture and it made me think;

This planet we live on is absolutely amazing.

We live on a globe of astounding features, grand mountains, sweeping plains, ancient cities, all of it is made of unimaginably small pieces. Storms and snow and dust. The rivers, the oceans, the forests, the animals and us. It is all just, beautiful, to me.

I am so glad I have gotten to see so much of it.

I guess I just wanted to put it into words, but my words fail me, they cannot capture that feeling I get when I see things like this.



My Man Muir...
