I'm On My Way
We're right back here again
Crawling around in this mess we started
Put it all together just to pull it all apart
Thinking that we are clever
But we are never that smart
And nothing should ever have to be this hard
And I'm just waking up
Now I'm on my way

Well, my last paper is in. Fist term is officially over. It's a chilly sunny morning, and I am feeling good. I feel like I made it over the emotional hump. So very much to be excited about in the next 10 months: Travel, Europe, dissertation destinations; Dissertation, finally academic work I am interested in; finding and working at a job in London; My two best friends' wedding; finding a job and settling somewhere in the States; A puppy; and hopefully a hug. Anyway, I thought I'd let you all know (and myself too) that I do have optimism and hope left in my heart.
Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely.
